Styles that interest you more than you think

Photographers have their styles, and this difference is what makes this world interesting. Unfortunately, addressing this topic can become somewhat extensive because many photographic styles range from photo editing to how the photographer portrays the story through his lens, it’s enormous. So let me give you this guide that will probably take you a few minutes to read but will clear up doubts about who is the right person to take your photos.

    Getting into the topic

How many styles of photography? It could be approximately more than ten photo editing styles, which is why I decided only to choose the five most demanding and optional for all those who are close to celebrating that lovely date and moment: your marriage, the arrival of your baby, a long-awaited family reunion, and others.

    1. Clean Airy editing

It can be related to the style of photography used by some editorial magazines. The aim is always to manage the colors and the edition as faithful as possible to the scene captured.

On this occasion, the natural beauty of the beautiful bride was the key. Her spontaneity and tranquility, together with natural light, made this photo a mixture of innocence and strength. The most beautiful thing about this style of photography is that you can see it and feel as if time had not passed. It’s called too Timeless. One of my favorites!

    2. HIGH CONTRAST

This style of photography has a dramatic manner. It mixes shadows and light in high contrast. Suitable for fun and edgy photos.

The photos with this style are very colorful or pick two tones. For example, we have the couple exposed to the golden hour, which allowed me to turn up the highlights and keep the yellows creating a romantic and nostalgic photo in my editing software. That day the rain began to fall, which generated a reflection effect between the raindrops and the sun, giving the impression of small balls of light in the air. Just Perfect!

    3. black & white

It is used a lot to create that atmosphere of intrigue and sometimes to express something very intimate. There are different types of black and white sometimes if you look closely, and before your brain gives the order to identify that color, you will see that some use blues, violets, greens, yellows within this style of photography. I remember being at the other end of the table for this photo, so I could capture this intimate scene without them feeling me interrupting. That’s what it’s about capturing reality, that bond.

    4. MOODY STYLE

It is a photographic style that works a lot from the shadows, thus generating a feeling of melancholy, mystery, and emotion. The way of seeing colors where the viewer’s gaze focuses only on the light placed on the subject is intentional and direct.

    5. FINE ART

It goes very hand in hand with the photographer’s vision and the art he wishes to express in it. Generally, there are different styles, some at  Maternity or Newborn sessions. The protagonists work with other elements to make the photo more pop to the eye and atmosphere of fantasy and imagination. There are different styles; some use shades of green palettes, others yellow, etc. This Pregnancy session that she carried out some time ago in my living room keeps the concept that the mother is the oyster that keeps the pearl, hence the pearls around the mother. It is a concept of the artist who wishes to capture an identity at that moment. Something I would do again regardless of the hours of editing, the happiness of the mother’s face is worth everything!

In short, there can be different photography styles, and some photographers combine between 2 to 3 techniques.
